However, the artist retains the original copyright of the artwork. This means that the client cannot claim authorship of the artwork or prevent the artist from using the artwork in their portfolio or for self-promotion.
The client may not use the artwork in a way that infringes on the rights of others, such as using the artwork for defamatory or illegal purposes.
